One rule above all the numbers: you pay after the appointment is confirmed. If nothing opens on your route, there is nothing to pay.
The same Portugal appointment is worth different things depending on where you are applying from, because your alternatives are different. In Dubai the alternative is an agency charging from AED 1,500 a head. In London it is a subscription service at around a hundred pounds. Quoting one global figure would mean overcharging one market and underselling the other.
Within each market the price falls per person as the group grows — the watching is the same work whether it is booked for one applicant or six.

Local agents charge 10,000–15,000 roubles per booking.
We have not set a price for India yet. Rather than guess one, we quote per request — tell us the route and the number of applicants and you get a figure the same day.
The consular fee and the VFS service fee are paid by you directly to the application centre — they are not ours to charge and we do not add a markup to them. Both are published per route on each direction page.
We do not charge for the request itself, for waiting, or for telling you a route is not workable.
